In January 2024, we’re launching an exciting 8-week pilot, in the City of London and Hackney. Our aim is to bring sexual health awareness to the streets. Every week, our team of experienced youth mentors will be out and about providing on the spot sexual health advice to young people aged 16-30 and promoting local sexual health services.

### Knowledge is power

At the core of our pilot is a belief that knowledge really is power and there are lots of benefits to raising awareness about sexual health, such as:

  • Preventing Unintended Pregnancies

  • Reducing the Spread of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

  • Promoting Healthy Relationships

  • Empowering Informed Decision-Making

  • And, Addressing Mental Health

Our aim is to empower and inform; supporting young people to make decisions that work for them.

### what sets us apart?

Our street mentoring team are not only fully equipped to provide sexual health advice but they’re also local to both Boroughs. They’re experienced, relatable, and passionate about making a difference to their peers.

What really sets us apart is that our project is not confined within walls but takes to the streets, connecting to young people where they are. We’ve identified a gap in sexual health services and we’re excited to launch a pilot that will help to bridge it.
