We formed Change in Youth CIC in March 2022.
We understood the powerful contribution grassroots organisations make to shaping better futures for young people and we want to make our own contribution.
We have more than a decade of experience in Youth and Community Projects, Project and Data Management and Community Engagement.
Our approach is simple but effective; we combine data, strategic innovation and effective partnership working to deliver long term sustainable change for young people and their communities.
Who We Are
Our Principles of Working
Our vision doesn’t exist in a vacuum, so we’ve created core working principles that we apply to every aspect of the work that we do
-
We model positive behaviours like ethical leadership, honesty, integrity and accountability not because we have to, but because we believe they are vital to great community interventions
-
We create opportunities for young people to shape solutions
-
We create opportunities for young people and community organisations to learn from each other
-
We create space for communities to be part of the change they want to see
-
We embrace innovation and thinking outside of the box
-
We avoid the novel and champion sustainable and long term change
-
We embrace collaboration and bringing others into our work
-
We are continuously learning and always strive to improve what we do
We want all young people to be equipped to understand and navigate the challenges and barriers holding them back and we want to tackle those challenges at the earliest stage. We want all young people, regardless of their circumstances, to feel hope about what is to come and to have the knowledge and skills to navigate a constantly changing world, no matter how much uncertainty it brings.
We understand that change is complex and does not exist in a vacuum, so we also want to work alongside local communities to create that safe, positive and integrated environment not just for young people, but for all people who call it home and create a change that benefits all.
